Zack Whitfield

Zack

Zack is a young boy in South Africa living with cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that affects the body’s ability to control the movement of salt and water in and out of cells. People living with the condition experience a build up of sticky mucus in the lungs, digestive tract and other organs, which cause a wide range of serious life-limiting symptoms.

Significant research has been carried out into the gene affected by cystic fibrosis, and there is real hope that a cure will be found within Zack’s lifetime. BFT has made a series of donations totalling over £36,000 to-date to enable Zack to benefit from the best medical care and to receive appropriate support at home, which also enables his parents to devote precious time to his siblings.
