The Listening place, supported by BFT, reopens on July 13th

The Listening place do vital work providing face-to-face help to those experiencing suicidal thoughts and have been supported by Bright Future Trust for a number of years. Because of COVID-19, the in person service at The Listening Place was suspended and an in-phone service took its place.

On July 13th, The listening place are once again open to provide the best and most effective type of support – ongoing, face-to-face and with the same volunteer. The premises have been adapted to have all the necessary PPE equipment and will have social distancing measures in place.  The Listening Place thanked Bright Future Trust, saying that ‘if it had not been for Bright Future Trust’s commitment to our service throughout 2018 and 2019, we would not have been able to both adapt and reopen so quickly – which will ultimately save lives.’ To date BFT has donated £72,000 to The Listening Place and has pledged a further £200,000 over the next three financial years.
