Amigos worldwide helps rural Ugandan community thanks to grant from Bright Future Trust

In January 2020, The Bright Future Trust awarded Amigos Worldwide with a grant of £13,640 to provide one rural Ugandan community with training in conservation farming, leadership, business and conflict resolution, and send seven children from the most underprivileged families within the community to school while a caregiver undertakes the training, install a borehole and provide hygiene training.

Thanks to our support a farming group has been identified, as have seven of the most in-need families. Despite the adverse circumstances affecting communities around the globe, Farming Group training is proceeding well. The group planted maize this first season and the crops are thriving! Seven children from in-need families are now in school, ensuring they will have the very best chance for a bright future thanks to Bright Future Trust and Amigos.
